The government has decided to "review" the appointments of "consultants" that public broadcaster Prasar Bharati has made in the last two years, with a view to shedding extra flab.
"The minister Prakash Javadekar has asked for a list of consultants in Prasar Bharati and it is to review the roles of special appointees. Apart from that, there are 8-10 advisers in the ministry as well whose performances and accountability would be reviewed," information and broadcasting secretary Bimal Julka told The Telegraph.
