Promising entertaining fare to television viewers in South Indian state Andhra Pradesh, Doordarshan Saptagiri (Telugu) launched four new daily serials Jan. 13 on the occasion of the Sankranti festival.
The four new shows — "Iswarya Kalasam," "Brundavanam," "Srinivasa Kalyanam" and "Maa Ayana Bangaram" — would be broadcast from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. (IST) from Monday to Friday, Sailaja Suman, deputy director general, Doordarshan Kendra, Hyderabad, told reporters.
The serials have been made under the self-financed commissioning (SFC) scheme for the first time in South India.
