NEW DELHI: Doordarshan is to re-telecast the Ehsaas-e-Kashmir featuring the eminent violinist Zubin Mehta held in Shalimar Bagh in Srinagar last month.The telecast will be at 9.30 pm on DD National Sunday night.
The concert also featured India's Abhay Rustom Sopori who is son of santoor maestro Bhajan Sopori blending with the Bavarian State Orchestra in a mesmerising performance. The 90-minute concert hosted by actor Gul Panag was held on 7 September, a day after Mehta received the Tagore Cultural Harmony Award in New Delhi.
Mehta had said that the aim was to spread the message of peace. "I didn't choose Kashmir, it chose me," Mehta, 76, said.
