New Delhi: A permanent venue for hosting the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) will come up in Goa, Information and Broadcasting Minister Prakash Javadekar said on Tuesday.

"Now, Goa has been accorded a permanent venue status, so they are permanent hosts. They are making huge infrastructure for the festival. Therefore, from this year they will start and hopefully by next year it will be a new infrastructure where the festival will take place," he said.

Javadekar and Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar had a meeting in this regard on Tuesday.
