The Election Commission of India has announced 25 hours each of free telecast and broadcast time for the six national parties on national broadcasters, Doordarshan and All India Radio, for campaigning. While the poll panel has allocated 30 hours each to the 47 state parties on the national broadcasters.
As per norms, political parties will need to submit the transcript to Prasar Bharti for clearance. Once approved, the transcripts can be recorded at private studios at the cost of political parties.
The commission warned that criticism of other countries, attack on religions or communities, defamatory or obscene matter, anything amounting to contempt of court, casting aspersions on..................
