BANGALORE: EPL fans in India will have to wait longer for live radio coverage of football action. The efforts of an Indian company to broadcast live Sunday's Manchester derby on All India Radio (AIR) have not succeeded with the officials yet to give them the green signal.
A top AIR official denied any such move and said no talks were held on this matter with the Indian Football Evolution (IFE). "It is not true. Till date (September 1, 2013) there has been no formal/official contact or proposal of any kind by any organization with AIR regarding live broadcast of EPL matches," Rajeev Kumar Shukla, Deputy DG ( Sports) said responding to a STOI report.
