Report by Odisha Diary bureau, Bhubaneswar: In order to promote classical music among the youth, SPIC MACAY is organising a national level reality show of classical music in collaboration with Doordarshan. The regional round of Naad Bhed was completed successfully in Doordarshan Kendra on the 22nd and 23rd August. After screening and audition round 23 participants from Odisha and Chhatishgarh took part in the regional round at the Doordarshan kendra studio in Bhubaneswar. The contestants who qualified for the next round which is the semi finals and will be held in Kolkata in order of merit are : Ishan Dubey in vocal (Chattishgarh), Mayur Lakhotia in tabla ( Chattishgarh), Anima Das in vocal (Orissa), Rudra Prasad Parida in flute (Orissa) Kshiti Prakash in vocal (Orissa).
The selected participants have a chance to go on to national round and win prizes worth 10 lakh in different categories. The regional round will be telecats in DD Odiya channel.
