Called 'Prabha', the channel will air programmes revolving around the art and culture of the two north-eastern states.
As per a PTI report, Prasar Bharati CEO Jawahar Sircar revealed the plan in a meeting with the staff of the All India Radio and the Doordarshan Kendra (DDK) in Itanagar yesterday. In the meeting, Sircar further urged the Doordarshan staff to extend support to the proposed channel so that it could be launched soon.
