With a new government set to take charge, two part-time members of the Prasar Bharati Board have submitted their resignations.
Sources told PTI that Suman Dubey as well as C R Kesavan, who were part-time members on the board of the public broadcaster, have sent their resignations.
When contacted, Kesavan, who is a great-grandson of first Indian Governor General of India C Rajagopalachari, said he had sent his resignation.
While Kesavan is associated with Congress and is one of the TV panelists of the party, Dubey is considered close to the Gandhi family.
The Prasar Bharati Board comprises Chairman, an Executive Member (Chief Executive Officer), Member (Finance), Member (Personnel) and six part-time members.
Besides, a representative of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting and the Directors General of All India Radio and Doordarshan are its ex-officio members.
