All India Radio is starting the broadcast of a new weekly Radio serial titled "Jamunia" from today on its National Network. The half an hour weekly radio serial will be broadcast every Friday at 9:30 pm on ALL INDIA RADIO`s Indraprastha Channel.
Jamunia is a story of a poor but highly motivated woman who through her courage and commitment gives a voice to her fellow villagers and makes them aware of various schemes and programmes of Government. The villagers start looking up to her and this generates a new awakening amongst them.
The Serial to be .broadcast in 26 episodes at 9.30 p.m. every Friday brings out a picture which highlights the rapid transformation towards development, which lakhs of villages in India are presently undergoing.
Along with the Indraprastha channel, the radio serial will also be broadcast througsh additional centres of AIR.
