FM Gold Ludhiana to soon operate round-the-clock

All India Radio's FM Gold Ludhiana will soon get the distinction of becoming country's first regional radio channel to function round-the-clock.

A declaration in this regard was made by union minister of information and broadcasting Manish Tewari on Sunday during the launch of programmes in the local language.

"We are working on the modalities and the infrastructure needed to make FM Gold Ludhiana a twenty-hour radio station that would telecast programmes in the Punjabi language. This will immensely benefit the development of the local language and raking up local issues," Tewari said.
