NEW DELHI: All India Radio is commencing broadcast of a new series, 'Priya', that will reach audiences pan-India through its various channels in 22 languages.
Directed by Sudershan Kumar of Delhi kendra of AIR for producer Pramod Kumar, the twelve-part series is penned by Shailendra. The story of 'Priya' about a young, poor, uneducated but courageous woman who fights against all odds, bringing the village folk together, and generating awareness in them in the modern context. Gradually the villagers wakening blooming within themselves and the benefits of the myriad government schemes begin reaching the village. Within a span the whole village experiences a new makeover.
This Hindi serial will be produced by AIR Delhi in twelve episodes and it will be broadcast every Thursday with effect from 8 August 2013 at 6.15 to 6.30 pm from Vividh Bharati and every Friday with effect from 9 August 2014 on FM(Gold) at 12.10 pm to 12.25 pm, on FM (Rainbow) at 2.45 pm and also on Indraprastha channel at 12.45 pm to 1.00 pm in women programme 'Aadha Akash Hamara'.
