Utilize Doordarshan for telecast of cultural festivals Dear Editor, Recently, Delhi government organized spectacular Qutab festival at high cost for several days with different prominent artists of India and other countries (Pakistan) performing on each day of the festival. Festival drew large crowds, and most of those attending it, satisfied themselves by seeing those performing only through big screens installed at the venue, because huge rush could not practically allow viewers to enjoy live performance. Doordarshan should devise some steps whereby such cultural shows organized at cost of public-exchequer, may be telecast live for best utilization of public-money in larger public interest. —Madhu Agrawal, Dariba, Delhi.
