NEW DELHI: Doordarshan is to commence telecast of a new series, 'Rabindranath Tagore's Poem' from 15 July as a tribute to the Nobel Laureate to mark his 150th birth anniversary.
The series is slated to be telecast every Monday at 10 pm on DD National. Titled 'Thrayadashee', is a compilation of 13 short films based on 13 poems of Tagore. Each film narrates a different theme and mood like solitude, singularity, border, religion, love, relationship, betrayal, hope etc with subtlety and in profound cinematic language.
Thrayadashee is not a periodical but has a universality of time and space. The 13 films are...........................................
